Covid-19 Update

Operational Guidelines issued by Maine DECD for Monkey C Monkey Do

Notice: please read our COVID -19 policies before booking.

 Reservations:

Reservations are HIGHLY recommended to allow for proper staffing and to implement proper distancing, group size limitations, and other safety protocols. The state also requests limiting the flow of cash in order to prevent the spread of germs, so we ask that guests utilize our online booking system as much as possible to reserve a spot.  “Walk-ins” may be accepted ONLY if our doing so does not infringe upon health and safety protocols in place. In any case, you should never travel any distance without a reservation, or first confirming that space is available for you and your party.

Guests are requested to arrive at their scheduled time in order to avoid overcrowding or close interaction with other reservation holders in the administration building.  In order to preserve the safety of our staff and other reservation holders, we must reserve the right to delay admittance or reschedule if we are unable to meet this requirement.

Feeling Sick?

Under no circumstances should a person participate in any activity if they are feeling ill. Participants are to immediately make Staff aware should anyone in the party become ill while participating.

Cancelations

Should you need to cancel your reservation due to somebody in your party becoming ill, please feel free to contact us via phone or email. Unfortunately, we may be unable to give refunds, but we would be happy to reschedule your visit when everybody is feeling better.

Food and Snacks

Participants are free to bring their own water bottles, and personal snacks if they so desire. These items are not allowed on the course but may be kept in the participants vehicle to be used as needed. We cannot allow food consumption within the building, but there are picnic tables available outside that allow for distanced eating.

Personal Gear

The guidelines no longer allow us to provide certain “community” items to our guest. Therefore, participants may wish to bring their own protective items such gloves, sunscreen, insect repellents, etc.

Masks and Distancing

We request, but do not require, that all staff members are fully vaccinated. All non-vaccinated staff members will be wearing masks while indoors and outdoors when social distancing is not possible, such as harnessing. But under certain circumstances, please understand that staff may be required to remove or modify mask placement  when outside to adhere to other safety protocols. For example, there may be times when clarity of instruction can be hampered by the muffling of masks, in which case, instructional safety will be prioritized.

Unvaccinated guests are asked to wear face masks while inside and at certain places on the course (ex… in line waiting or close to other guests); however, a mask is not required while on the course as long as a proper distance between staff members and other parties can be maintained. Signs will be posted where masks are required on the course. Those watching from the course or on the ground must maintain the same degree of social distancing and safety measures as participants.

Groups and “Social Bubbles”

As a wonderful team building and bonding experience, Monkey C Monkey Do is host to many school and corporate functions and field trips throughout our operating season. As a matter of policy, we may adjust our calendar and availability to the general public as needed to provide a better ( and now safer ) experience for all concerned.

Sanitizing

All provided equipment will be sanitized by Monkey C Monkey Do staff before and after each outing. Common areas such as ticket counters, display cabinets, rest rooms etc, will be cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the day.

Failure to Comply

For the safety of our staff and other guests, anyone who does not comply with current guidelines and protocols may be asked to leave the facility without refund.

We Hope to See You But….

If you are not comfortable with the outlined procedures or possible actions of others, we kindly ask that you refrain from visiting Monkey C Monkey Do while we adapt to these changing times, keeping the safety of our staff and guests as our highest priority.

Thanks!

As always, we appreciate the continued support from our community, as we are a small, family-owned business attempting to overcome the new challenges that are presented and modified as circumstances evolve.

NOTE: These guidelines may be periodically modified by The Maine DECD as prudence dictates, and we will make guests aware of any changes as soon as possible once notified.
