Typically, our hours are 10am- 4pm, but can vary based on the needs of summer camps, weather etc. Reservations can be taken on our website 24/7, or by phone at (207)882-6861 . Although it is not mandatory, we HIGHLY recommend calling us to secure your reservation so that we can notify you, should there be any unexpected closures due to inclement weather alerts etc. Be aware that during the Summer months we have lots of summer camps coming to the courses that take up reservation times, so there could be up to a three-hour wait or even no availability some days. By calling ahead we can do our best to ensure that we can book you properly ahead of time. You may also check the real-time availability on our website at https://www.monkeycmonkeydo.com/experiences/or call us at (207)882-6861.

Size Limitations
Every situation is different. The course and zip lines are specially designed to accommodate a wide range of ages and abilities. Being primarily a team and confidence-building experience, we do not put a specific limit on things, such as weight, for example, that would single out an individual in a group, causing added stress or embarrassment. Therefore, only one person in every group must be able to reach 5’6” flat footed in order to reach the belay cables.
Our philosophy is that if a person can be safely fitted with a harness and has the ability to correctly follow the safety instructions given by our staff, then that person should be allowed to participate along with his or her group mates within the confines of his or her physical limitations.
Age
We have had success with children as young as 3 and adults well into their 70s. Granted, not every person will successfully complete every challenge on the course, but they will generally complete more than they originally expected and leave with more self-confidence and the satisfaction of knowing they did something they did not think they could do.

- Comfortable, flat-soled, closed-toe shoes (like sneakers)
- No thin sandals, clogs, flip-flops, heels etc. (hiking-style sandals such as Tevas are allowable)
- Athletic clothing
- No loose or excessive jewelry
- No skirts
- Shorts should be about mid-thigh or longer.
- No excessively baggy clothing (Remember, this is a challenge course. Many obstacles require a good deal of physical agility. Loose clothing can snag on some of the elements.)
- No personal climbing gear (The gear that we provide is made specifically for the size and types of safety cables that are used on the course.)
- Wear something casual that you’re not worried about getting a little dirty. (You’re in the elements; things in nature can get wet, dry, and dusty.)

Our course consists of about 60 obstacles of varying heights and difficulty. Obstacles include things such as swinging rope bridges, hanging vines (think Tarzan), suspended logs, hanging balance beams, climbing nets (think pirate ships), tight ropes, tire swings, and many other unique and challenging things to cross, climb, and swing from.
There are also eight zip lines from 10 feet (for kids) to 60 feet on our top levels. We also have a 35-foot giant swing (10-foot free fall, then the pendulum begins. Think giant rope swing at the edge of a lake or river). Once a participant is cleared for safety by our staff, all activities are available for the specified time.
Outdoor Laser Tag
We also offer Northern New England’s ONLY tactical outdoor laser tag!
Experience a heart-pounding adrenaline rush as you and your team outmaneuver, outplay, and outlast your opponents! Plays outdoors like paintball, but without the paint or pain.

You would generally want to commit about three hours for your adventure (a little longer for larger groups). However, the experience is self-directed, so you do not have to stay for the full-time period, or perhaps you can stay a little longer.
There is also a picnic area, and you are welcome to break for lunch, snacks, or just for the sake of taking a break. The three-hour period helps us control the flow of our safety equipment on busy days. We can work with you for a more suitable time frame on days that we are not fully booked.

We operate rain or shine during our season. We only close the course in the case of severe weather (i.e.: hurricanes or thunderstorms). We find that many people actually enjoy the added challenge of doing the course in less than perfect weather. And kids love zipping and swinging in the rain (remember being told as a kid NOT to jump in puddles?).
Since coastal weather doesn’t always follow the predictions for the rest of the state, we suggest that you confirm your reservation the day before or the morning of. We would be more than happy to reschedule if that is what you’d prefer.

Unfortunately not. Our ropes course is designed and built as an exciting team activity, so we require groups of two, three, or four. You will use a “buddy system” on the course for safety (zip line tickets can be sold individually though).
Ropes courses are a wonderful activity for families, spouses, friends, siblings, and coworkers! However, we realize that some of you may be traveling alone or may not have a qualified partner available in your group.
In those cases, we can sometimes provide a trained staff person to accompany you on the course. An advanced reservation is required, and some restrictions apply. Please call or email for more information.

Not required but highly recommended! We have a waiting list for most days between mid-June and early September. Blocking out time slots for groups and individuals is the only way we can maintain the proper staffing for the safety and enjoyment of all our guests.
